Following on from the success of ‘Gloriator’, and ‘Glorilla’, the award-winning Spitz & Co are proud to present the third and final show of the trilogy ‘Les Gloriables’.
A riotously silly, physical, and highly visual theatre show created by French/English female comedy duo and Live & Local favourites, Pauline Morrell and Susie Donkin. Susie can be seen in all five series of the BAFTA winning “Horrible Histories” (CBBC) as both a writer and a performer.
Their new show is inspired by Victor Hugo's novel ‘Les Miserables’. It is a show about socialism, and the power of the people, but at its heart is the comic relationship between a selfish diva and her long-suffering assistant.
Determined to reunite Europe, glamorous French actress Gloria Delaneuf takes her one-woman version of ‘Les Miserables’ to the streets. She has dreamed a dream, and her hapless assistant Josephine has promised to help build a barricade. Expect a master class in resistance – French style. Performed in French and English with music and visual effects, lots of audience interaction and singing, ‘Les Gloriables’ will be a riot. Vive La Revolution!
