After a terrific evening with Men in General on Friday 23rd January, we were able to tell the delighted audience that this won;t be the last Centre Stage event for \Barrow after all. Charnwood BC has decided to continue its grant at least for another year.
Centre Stage is a scheme to subsidise touring professional theatre performances in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. Hosting bodies (BUSCA in Barrow) are able to bid for a wide range of events over the year. They make all the arrangements, do the publicity and sell the tickets. The charge to the hosts is heavily subsidised by the scheme, making it feasible for rural audiences to experience live professional theatre on their door steps.
